Huffington Post, the liberal-leaning online news site that has been one of the Internet’s start-up success stories, said it agreed to a $315 million buyout late Sunday night from AOL Inc. The investment to start the post was $1 million.  So the return on this investment is bigger than big oil.  Does Ariana think SHE should be paying a windfall profits tax?

When will the Americans start to realize that schools need to return to the basics. We’ve overextended their load to include health, human services, nutrition, and parenting that they can no longer afford to fund. Too many buses, lunches, and extended care. We’ve amped all these up without turning out strong leaders with character and intelligence with a superior education.

Oh no! We won’t be fooled again. Those who are still sold on him don’t need convincing; they are with him in rerouting this nation towards socialism. And, not all socialists are bad people. They can be lovable. Only, we can’t afford their ideas financially or ethically.

I’ve got to be honest about the green foam I have coming out of my mouth here. Book from Snookie. I wish this was a cruel prank. I cannot believe this is true considering how many talented and overlooked writers there are out there – myself included – trying to secure a book deal or at least a meeting with a publisher to write a book that hopes to change lives. But, publishers don’t want to hear from you these days before you make a jackass of yourself in a drunken stupor, cursing, or fighting on TV, or “accidentally” having the wrong assets come out on a sex tape.  The United Negro College Fund did have it right. “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

Looks like someone will have to start using a bigger filter if he is thinking of running for President in 2012. Truly Southern candidates I think already have a mark against them for even being from the South as far as most of the country is concerned. Mississippi is one of the worst when it comes to conjuring up the notion of being a “redneck” – not that there is anything wrong with that.  If I had to pick a Southern President to run in 2012, my choice would be my own Texas Governor Rick Perry. Yes, I’m biased

Makes you wonder: is our Government truly invested in stopping this show of treason and lawlessness – and I don’t mean the alleged rape charges. Where is James Bond when you need him?

Really? It took a study to find this out? They advise parents to be wise about what their children and watching and pay attention to ratings. My guess would be you are safe if your kids are not allowed to watch TV in that case. For, forget about monitoring the shows your children watch, even the commercials go out of their way to sexualize young girls and teen. I was watching a show on Nick, Jr with my kids and suddenly we were bombarded with several women captured from the waist down in underwear. Just watch out for the Sketcher’s commercial – the one supposedly promoting the tennis shoes that help firm up your legs and buttocks. So little camera time is non the shoes that one would think it is a commercial for underwear. Young girls parading around in sheer panties, with close ups on their cracks and thighs. Very sketchy commercial.

Chavez seeks power to rule by decree? Isn’t he already doing this? I suppose he wants to make it formal and official. With the quick stroke of the quill, he can continue to run Venezuela in the ground; it shouldn’t take a full year to do this. A week, month, tops.

One can’t argue with Mark Zuckerberg’s and Facebook’s impact on information and society. Nice that the Tea Party was a close runner up. The American conservative is the person of the year, this year and every year from now on. But, what? No Jersey Shore?
