Without aid, DPS may close half of its schools

Without aid, Detroit Public Schools may close half of its schools This story makes closing a few schools in Austin seem benign. The cart is getting too full for the few to carry. When will the Americans start to realize that schools need to return to the basics. We’ve overextended their load to include health, human services, nutrition, and parenting that they can no longer afford to fund. Too many buses, lunches, and extended care. We’ve amped all these up without turning out strong leaders with character and intelligence with a superior education.
